 APJ Abdul Kalam day was on 27th July. The science club in the school organized APJ caricature drawing competition amd APJ quiz competition on the day. I took one of my classes using Innovative Lesson plan. Pupil actively involved in the execution of the lesson.

    Today I took my innovative lesson plan in VIII I. The topic was Orgin of name of elements. Pupil brought placards showing the name of each element. I called all students and they stood infront of class holding the placards. They introduced themselves as elements and told how their name came from. Thus it was like a role paly model and every student enjoyed the class.      Today our Physical Education teacher from college came foe class observation and I took the topic 'Nutrition' in a class.

     Today is APJ Abdul Kalam day. The Science club in the school conducted APJ caricaturedrawing competition and APJ Quotes writing competition.       Today I got two Physics period in VIII I. I continued the unit 'Motion'. I took the topics speed and velocity, uniform speed and non-uniform speed. The topics were theory oriented but students can relate to their daily life experiences. Thus the topics can become  easier.

    The moon day related drawings of students were displayed at the entrance hall of the school.      Today I took the topic Distance and Displacement in VIII I. The concept was taught through activities in the textbook. Some application level questions were also included and done at the class itself. Follow up activities were also given.

    Today I had a Chemistry class in VIII I. I took the topics Origin of name of elements and Symbols. The topics were easy so that pupil could easily understand the concepts. These topics are also basics of elements and compounds which is necessary for higher classes too.

 I conducted unit test from the unit I have taught. One day, there was a strike. So there was no class that day. The Moon day related 3-days programme 'APOGEE' was conducted and we all actively contributed our part in the programme by involving in different committees. I conducted a Diagnostic test on a specific selected from the unit I have taught.

 Today was the second day of APOGEE programme.A science film was presented in the prgramme which had won Film Critic award. There was also pie apprpximation day special class today afternoon.      I had a Chemistry class in VIII I. I started the unit 'Basic Constituents of Matter'. The topic Elements and Compounds took using 5E model of teaching. Experiements and activities were shown in the class.       I conducted a diagnostic test today in VIII I. I took the topic separation of components of mixtures for the test.

 Maths club conducted a quiz related to the day. There was a class on the topic 'Origin of pie'.

     The three-days programme APOGEE related to moon day started today. The programme started at 4:30 in the evening after the school time.      Today I started the new unit 'Motion' from Physics in VIII I. The topic was Rest and Motion. I took the topic in Concept Attainment Model. Some examples were given and pupil themselves identified the concept.

     Today we reached school on time. But there was a strike announced in the last day by KSU so that most of the students were absent in the school. The classes also ended during the second period.       We, the B. Ed trainees had a meeting with  some teachers who were in charge of the lunar day programme 'APOGEE'. They divided us and assign duty on various committees. It was a three-days programme from 21st July to 23rd July.

 Today I got a  Physics class in the second period in VIII I. I had planned to conduct a unit test. Students were ready to write the exam as I had informed them about the test in the last class. The test was out of 15 marks. Sufficient time was given to them. The questions were written on blackboard. They finished the exam before the bell rang and I collected all the answer sheets.     Today there was also a screenig test for those who want to join in the English club.

 Today I had Chemistry class in the fifth period. I was informed students that today there will be a unit test on the unit 'Properties of Matter'. Question paper was already preparedand printed for students' convenience to write the exam. The time alloted was from 1:15 pm to 2:00 pm. Everyone finshed writing the test within the time alloted.

The polulation day special programmes were conducted this week. Quiz was conducted by Social Science Club of the school. Our optional teacher and general teacher from our college came to school for class observation. They observed the class and gave good review about my class. I revised the units I have taught in the class.

 Today I got a Physics period and Chemistry period in VIII I. I finished the first units in Chemistry and Physics. So I took today's classes for revision. I revised  all the topics I have taught and prepared them well to face the unit test in the upcoming class.  Today Basheer Day quiz was conducted in school. The classes ended a little early as there is PSC exam in the school the next day.

 Population Day Quiz was conducted today at 12:45 pm in the school by Social Science Club.

 Today our general teacher from college came to school for class observation. I had planned to take the topic Chromatography in Chemistry from the unit 'Properties of Matter'. Activity using filter paper and ink was done in the classroom. Then a video was presented showing the process of chromatography. Application questions were also included. Teacher gave me a good review about the class and recorded the points in reflective journal.

 Today our optional teacher came to school for class observation. I took the topic separation of components of mixtures from the unit 'Properties of Matter'. I took sublimation and centrifugation in the class. Teacher observed the class and gave a good review and recorded the observation points in my reflective journal.

   Today I had a class in VIII I. I took the topic 'The rules to be followed while writing units' from the unit 'Measurements and Units' in Physics. A chart was displayed showing the rules one by one and explained it with relevant examples. Thus the first unit was finished today.      I also got a substitution period in X A. I gave them some problems related to mole concept.

               July 11 - World Population Day    The importance of the day was displayed on the whiteboard of the entrance hall of school. Posters related to the day were made by students and they were displayed on the entrance hall.

 Today was very satisfactory for me. I could control the class and teach well. I had a Chemistry class in VIII I. Today I took the topic separating components from mixtures and distillation. Distillation was presented using ICT model by showing the picture of distillation in class. Also the concern teacher in the school was there in the classroom for supervision. Today was totally good for me.

 This week had no special days or extra curricular activities. Classes were taken lessonwise. Both Physics and Chemistry classes were taken in VIII I. Most of the classes were taken activity based. Students actively involved in the activities.

Today I had a class in VIII I. I took the topic Density in Physics from the unit 'Measurements and Units'. The class was planned to take through Inquiry Training Model. It was somewhat success in the class. An experiment was shown using egg, water and salt water. Students asked relevant questions. But the classroom management was difficult in VIII I.

 Today I reached the school at 9 am. There are 8 periods a day. I had no class today as per the timetable. There is no period for Physics or Chemistry in VIII I on Thursday. There may be a new time table from next Monday and the periods will be rduced to 7. So the duration of a period will increase. Now there is a temporary time table which we all follow. I have 2 Chemistry periods and 2 Physics periods as per the present timetable.

 Today I had a class in VIII I. I taught the topic Area of leaf and Volume in Physics. Majority of students brought a graph paper and a leaf as I I had already told about it in the last class. I taught them to find the area by drawing an outline of the leaf. The class was good. I gave some homework for them.

 Today I had a class in VIII I. I taught the topic Fundamental Units and Derived Units in Physics. Class was good at all. Chart was presented in the class. Class management was the main task for me.    I had substitution periods in VIII B and X H. VIII B was so entertaining that a boy came and sang some film songs and I really enjoyed that class. Everyone clapped after each song. We, the teachers, have to give them chance for showing their talents.

    There was 2 day class for us in the last week. As most of the teachers went to revaluation camp, we got substitution periods in many classes of VIII, IX and X. So we got the opportunity to handle different age group students. And the days were so busy. We went to classes almost all periods.
