This was the last week for us in the school. Independence Day was celebrated in the school and many events were conducted on the day. We went to Govt. Old age home one day with the SPC students and it was a great experience for us. I also conducted a Diagnostic test on the topic which was felt difficult for students.       The overall experience at the school was good for me and it was a great experience for me as a student teacher.

 Today was the last day at GHSS, Anchalummoodu. I conducted diagnostic test today. The topic for the test was selected on the basis of the achievement conducted in the same class. Question paper was set and printed for each student. The topic for the diagnostic test was Method of representing atoms and molecules and calculating the tot number of atoms. I gifted each student a pen as it was my last day in the school.

   Today is Chingam 1. Also today was an unforgettable day for me. Along with SPC and NSS volunteers of GHSS, Anchalumoodu, we went to Govt. old age home, Kollam. We went there with some gifts for the people residing there. HM and some teachers in the school were also with us. The residents there were waiting for us. There was a small session in which the officials talked and shared some of their experiences. They found some familiar faces in the old age home. That was so touching moment for all of us. Some programmes were also there for entertaining them such as film songs, dance etc. They and we enjoyed the day. We reached school back in the afternoon.          I conducted a unit test on Physics unit 'Motion' in the last period.

 Today I had a Physics period in VIII I. I had planned to take the topic Measures to be taken for Road Safety. It was the last topic I had to take in the unit Motion. The topic was discussed as an awareness class and delivered to students. They shared their knowledge and experience also.

    There was Independence Day celebration at GHSS, Anchalummoodu on 15th August. Ward Councillor, Principal, HM, PTA president participated in the inaugural session. Some old aged people shared their experience about our Independence day in 1947 and they were honoured at the meeting. Students among SPC and JRC were there in their uniforms.      The celebrations started by hosting the national flag by school principal. Independence day rally was conducted participating all the teachers and students, SPC, JRC & NSS volunteers. Then different programmes were done by students. All students were given payasam. MLA came to school and unveiled the Preamble of the Constitution which was drawn on the entrance hall with the picture of B. R. Ambedkar.

 The morning assembly in the school started this week. Each class has assembly on each day. Independence Day related Quiz competition was done in the school on the day before Independence Day. I also conducted an Achievement test in VIII I on the units I have taught.

     Today there was a Quiz competition related to Independence Day organized by Social Science club in the school. Two students from each class participated in the quiz. Winners were selected upto third place.      Today I conducted Achievement test in Chemistry by taking the first two units. Questions paper was set and printed for every student. Blueprint and scoring key was prepared in advance.

     Today there was morning assembly for VIII and IX standard students. The assembly started with prayer. HM gave skme instructions to students. The daily news and thought of the day was read.        I had a Physics period in VIII I. I planned to tske the topic Acceleration and Retardation. The topic was dry and no practical activities were there to demonstrate. The activities mentioned in the textbook were discussed with the students and necessary examples for the topics.

 Today there was morning assembly for X standard students. I had Physics period in VIII I. I took the topic Uniform velocity and Non-uniform velocity. The topic was discussed with students. Practical activities were less in the topic. Activities in the textbook were discussed and relevant examples were given so that they can easily understand the topic.

 

Today I had a Chemistry period on 5th period in VIII I. I had planned to take the continuation of the topic balanced chemical equations. Pupil had some doubts in that portion. The doubts were cleared by giving more examples for balancing chemical equations. Giving more examples and problems as application questions will make the topic clear to students.

 Prem Chand Divas related drawing competition was conducted by the Hindi Club in the school. There were no classes for two days due to heavy rainfall in the district. Our optional teacher came to school for class observation for the second time. There was a workshop on drawing on Saturday in the school.

 

Today I had a Chemistry class in VIII I in the 7th period. Our optional teacher from college came for class observation. Today I had planned to take the topic Balanced Chemical Equations. I had chart as learning material. The topoc was taken by questioning and students answered to my questions. Teacher gave good review about the class.

 Today I had Chemistry period in VIII I. I took the topics Compound, Chemical formula and Chemical equations from the unit Basic Constituents of Matter. Lesson plan was prepared already and took the class. The topoc was made clear to them by citing more examples.

      Prem Chand Janma Divas was on 31st July. As a part of the day celebration, the Hindi club conducted Premchand's picture drawing competition. Many students brought their drawings and they were displayed at the entrance hall of the school. Quotes of Prem Chand was also displayed written by students.       Today I got a Chemistry class. I completed the topic Atom and Molecule, Method of representing atoms and molecules and gave some class works to students and also follow up activities were given.
